Everest base trek tour hiking adventure , Everest Trek , 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020

Famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and the loyalty and friendliness of its inhabitants (the Sherpas), the Everest region (Khumbu) is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Nepal. While many of the routes through the mountains are arduous, there are ample places to rest and enjoy a meal along the way. Furthermore, don't worry about getting lost. Just ask a local the way to the next village on your route, and they will direct you. Most Sherpas under the age of fifty can at least understand basic English, and many speak it fluently.

While trekking is possible in this area the whole year round, the best times to visit are from the beginning of March to mid May and from the beginning of September to mid November. The winters are very cold and snow may make it difficult to travel higher than Tengboche, and also lodges may be closed above this altitude. Summers, on the other hand, are wet, and the spectacular peaks are often lost in the clouds. April and early May is a good time to see the hedgerows and trees bursting into bloom, with Rhododendrons, in particular, adding a spectacular splash of colour to the landscape. However, dust from the plains of India during the spring routinely provide less than ideal conditions for clear mountain views. The views are much better after the summer monsoons have cleared the atmosphere of dust, but the days are shorter and cooler.

Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) is compulsory to visit Khumbu region, this was until 2010 issued free of charge but now costs 20USD or equivalent in Nepalese Rupees.

Lodges and restaurants in Khumbu only accept Nepalese rupees. Budget 2000 Rs per person per day for food and accommodation - prices rise with the altitude, though you may spend more in Namche because there is more on offer.

  1. We (a couple from USA) did the Everest base camp trek in late November- beginning of December 2012. It was great! November is the end of the main trekking season, but we still had really nice weather and nice days in the mountains. We flew into Lukla and hiked for a total of 12 days. Our original plan was 13 days of trekking, but due to bad weather we were delayed for one day on our way to Lukla. Since we missed one of our acclimatization days, our trek became one day shorter and we did not make it to Kala pathar or Everest base camp. If it is important for you to reach base camp, you have to make a deal with your travel agency in advance; otherwise you will not be able to reach your goal without the risk of getting altitude sickness if you are short on days. On our way down we walked to Khumjuung and visited Khunde, which we really liked and recommend. We used the guide book “Trekking the Everest Region” by Jamie Mc Guinness, and we really enjoyed to read it during the evenings.
Our trip was organized by Mr.Sanjib and his “ website ” www.nepaguideinfo.com. For approximately 1050 USD per person he met us at the airport, arranged and paid for our room at hotelnapalaya . The price also included the plane ticket Katmandu – Lukla –Katmandu, a very nice Sherpa guide and a porter. During the trek, all food (but not drinks) and accommodation was also included. We recommend using Sanjib and his services, he met all our expectations and we are very happy with our trip. I recoomnded him He email address -sanjib-adhikari@hotmail.com

  5. Altitude sickness is a significant risk when trekking on any trails above about 2500m. Be familiar with the symptoms and do not ignore them. People who keep to a conservative ascent schedule and drink plenty of fluids should acclimatize OK. If you or anyone in your party begins to experience symptoms of AMS then do not ascend any further, and if they do not improve then descent to a lower altitude is the only option. Water - The streams should be considered polluted and whilst bottled water is often available, the disposal of plastic bottles is a problem. Have some means to purify water, iodine and/or a fine ceramic filter are the best options.
Lone travelers - arriving in Kathmandu it is usually easy to find other likeminded people with similar travel plans and trek together. Even if you start at the trailhead alone you are likely to meet the same people along the trail and share lodges at night. It is not wise to trek alone (this is true not just in Nepal but anywhere). In the unlikely event that you should encounter trouble or become ill then it is far easier and safer to have some companion to help out.
    Responsible trekking
Trek legally. If you trek independently, you are not allowed to take any staff yourself by law. You need for this a Trekking Agency, the sole authorized to employ staff for foreign trekkers. Do not hire staff through hotels, "independent guides" unless they have a Trekking Agent license or offer these services through an affiliated Trekking Agent.
Please make sure you pack out all of your trash, including bottles and cans from goods consumed in restaurants. Bring the trash to the nearest truck-accessible road for the most proper disposal available.
Trekkers are also asked to refrain from relying on bottled water, since there is nowhere to dispose of the used bottles. Filtering or treating your water will reduce the amount of trash left behind in this fragile environment. Iodine pills are a cheap, lightweight solution.
Take the time to look at the pollution and lack of trash management all around you, from the trash-clogged rivers in the cities to the mounds of discarded beer bottles in the mountain villages. This is a country struggling with its rapid Westernization and hasn't yet figured out how to dispose of its waste. Don't contribute to the problem anymore than necessary!
After your trek you can give your clothes to the porters' clothing bank which is managed by the KEEP association [3]. This bank is located in Thamel at Kathmandu and provides clothes to the trekking porters. Travelers are encouraged to bring water purification tablets or water filters on the trek as this reduces the use of plastic bottles and also reduces the weight carried.

  6. Though not required, porters and/or guides can be easily hired in Pokhara or Kathmandu at many travel agencies. As a classic "tea-house trek," which goes from village to village and does not require trekkers to bring along food or camping equipment, porters and guides are far from necessary, though many trekkers still like to use them.
If you do hire a porter or a guide, Nepali tourism officials ask that you make sure you pay a fair wage, limit the weight you require them to carry, and ensure they are properly clothed. Pay attention to their health when you get up in elevation, since some porters may not tell you if they feel ill. Altitude sickness is potentially fatal if ignored.
Depending on where you end your trek, buses and taxis are available to take you to Pokhara, a great place on a lake to spend a few days unwinding and relaxing. Kathmandu is about a six hour bus ride from Pokhara, easily arranged once you're ready to leave the lakeside town.
You can try and walk the lower stages at a faster pace maybe combining two of them into one so that more time can be spent on acclimatization on the higher stages. For example a couple of extra days can be spent at Manang and utilized by climbing to one of the many peaks around it and coming back down so as to increase the production of red blood cells. You can also see the origin of the Marsyandi river in Manang. Taking the high trail from Pisang via Ghyaru and Ngawal, and sleeping in either of those villages also helps acclimatization. As those villages are already higher in elevation than Manang, the extra acclimatization day in Manang can be skipped. The best part about this trek is the varied scenery it has to offer. You start from tropical forest in Besisahar, see terminal moraine near Manang and then move past the snow line across the Thorung La and then to the barren landscape of lower Mustang and Muktinath.

    Penyakit ketinggian Amaran Daftar

Day 1: Arrival at the Kathmandu Airport
Prior to landing at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, you may well have some excellent views of snowy Himalayan peaks. After arrival and customs clearance you’ll be met by the tour coordinator and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, situated in the heart of the city. This entire royal palace complex is filled with historical monuments. See the stone statue of Hanuman and the palace’s golden gate. Visit the Taleju temple, at 36.6 meters high, the temple to Lord Krishna, built in the 17th century, and the Jaggannath temple, famous for its erotic art.

Patan, the second-largest city in the valley, has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its central Durbar Square is absolutely packed with temples, and is an architectural feast. There is a far greater concentration of temples per square meter here than in either Kathmandu or Bhaktapur. You’ll have time to admire the most stunning display of Newari architecture in Nepal.

Next on the itinerary is a drive to Nagarkot. At an altitude of 1,950 meters, it is an excellent spot for views of snowy mountain peaks and spectacular sunsets and sunrises. In the morning, when the sky is clear, you can enjoy views of the Himalayas including Lantang, Everest, Amadablam, and Kanchenjunga.

    Day 4:Sightseeing Tour in Bhaktapur
After breakfast, you’ll head out on a drive from Nagarkot to Bhaktipur. Bhaktapur city is also a World Heritage Site, and is the third major town in the valley. The main points of interest in Bhaktapur are the lion gate and the golden gate.
